Well-Being and Fostering a Sense of Community

Undocumented students who decide to make the University of Chicago their home will be joining a small emerging community of dedicated students committed to support one-another through this process.  We are working to promote a inclusive and healthy experience for undocumented students.

Whether an undergraduate in the college or a Ph.D. student in one of the academic disciplines we are creating a safe space for those who want to share their stories, struggles, and future paths.

The University of Chicago partners with students to meet their needs and enhance their academic, professional and mental health well-being through support and services in various Centers and Offices.  Below you will find information about each specific space within the University.  You may click on any link to take you directly to the office or center's website that you are looking for!

There are various resources and supports available on campus and through the univeristy to meet academic and personal needs.

  • Center for College Student Success (CCSS)
The Center for College Student Success (CCSS) provides early academic exposure, transition support, and ongoing advising and resources to students in the College, especially those who are first in their family to attend college, from lower-income or under-resourced backgrounds, or who may be undocumented. Advisers in CCSS strive to help students navigate campus resources and foster an inclusive and supportive campus community that facilitates student success.
