Standing Together Against Anti-Asian Violence

Standing Together Against Anti-Asian Violence
Friday, March 19 • 5:00pm CT

OMSA is hosting a virtual gathering in solidarity with those impacted and affected by the recent attacks and murders of Asian and Asian American people across the country. We hope to help students find support and solace in community.

The event will include words of remembrance, an opportunity for students to offer brief testimonials, and resources for dealing with racial trauma. All undergraduate students and graduate/professional students are welcome and encouraged to participate. We invite you to email if you are interested in offering a personal testimonial.

Please keep in mind that OMSA/CI+I staff members, as well as our colleagues in UChicago Student Wellness and Spiritual Life, are also available to provide individualized support in light of these horrific events.

As we look ahead to Spring Quarter, OMSA will work with campus and community partners to support students who wish to learn about, address, and/or advocate against racialized violence. We will also hold space for reflection and education.
