We aim to highlight, celebrate, and establish the culture and expectations of our community at the onset of each academic year.

The dress code for the event is formal, all-white attire.

Speakers for this year's ceremony include:

  • Tyler Okeke (Student Speaker)
  • Eric Williams (Community Speaker)
  • Dr. Adrienne Brown (Faculty Keynote)

With performances by:

  • Caleb Olumofin
  • Narvella Sefah
  • Harlem Moore + Samantha Taylor
  • Elijah Jenkins

Following the program, join us for a light reception at the Cloister Club in Ida Noyes Hall at 1:30pm. Remarks will be provided by the University of Chicago Association of Black Alumni Representatives John Ellis and Shawn Hawk.

Students, faculty, alumni, and community members are invited to attend.
